Harmonic series

The series, beginning with the fundamental tone, which are overtones in ascending frequency. The frequency relationships of the overtones are expressed in prime numbers and the fundamental tone is called, the first, tomake a correspondence between the prime numbers and the ordinal numbers. The harmonic series are among those acoustic laws which exhibit the theoretical unity of the various tonalities.
