Reducing pollution of orbital space

Collecting orbital space debris
Retrieving defunct satellites from outer space
Reducing damage potential of orbital junk
Reducing growth of space debris

The accumulation of space debris creates significant problems for astronomy and future space launchings. Of special concern is the possibility of collision of nuclear-powered space vehicles with such debris. Various debris mitigation measures are under consideration. The possibility of graveyard orbits for obsolete space vehicles is also under consideration.
