Caring about problems

Synonyms:
Being concerned over problems
Worrying about problems
Claim:
1. We can afford to care about problems to the extent that we believe we can do something about them. Action therefore often needs to pre-date changes of values, in order to establish the feasibility of the project. Without perceived feasibility, we tend to adopt coping strategies like ignoring the problem ("it's not really so bad"), preaching the impossibility of doing anything, or paying dues to someone who is supposed to fix it.

2. Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its troubles, it empties today of its strength.
