strategy

Supporting efforts to make scientific environmental information more comprehensible to non-scientists

Implementation:
This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities. Agenda 21 indicates that the publication of national scientific research reports and technical reports that are understandable and relevant to local sustainable development needs would improve the interface between science and decision-making, as well as the implementation of scientific results.
