Reducing marginalization of women's labour

Context:
An increase in flexible forms of employment has coincided with the growth of women's participation on the labour market in many countries. A new pattern of labour segmentation is emerging in which women tend to predominate in working arrangements such as casual work, part-time work, subcontracting, home-based work. In many cases this pattern constitutes gender-based inequality.
