Developing plastic surgery

Advancing procedures for the surgical repair of congenital or acquired deformities and reconstruction of tissue disfigured by accidents; also used for cosmetic purposes, e.g. to reshape a nose or remove sagging skin from around the eyes. Techniques include skin grafts, transplantation of bone or ligament from other parts of the body, and implants of various kinds.
