Concluding new international agreements to achieve global sustainability
Context: In recent decades, many international conventions which emphasize sustainability have been signed. They include, for instance, conventions which reduce or ban environmentally degrading activities. Collectively, they have benefitted the Earth's vitality. There is concensus, however, that current conventions alone are insufficient in scope and effectiveness, and that new international conventions are required to achieve global sustainability.
