Supplying support for biodiversity planning
The BioNET International Consultative Group provides [biosystematic] support for developing country programmes designed in accordance with Agenda 21 and the [Biodiversity Convention] of UNCED. It does this by mobilizing and pooling the world's resources and expertise in biosystematics of invertebrates and microorganisms in order to establish and sustain capabilities in developing country sub-regions to support national programmes for sustainable agricultural development and conservation and wise use of the environment and biodiversity through interlinked sub-regional Technical Cooperation Networks, functioning as LOOPS of BioNET-International.
