Context: Protecting indigenous peoples environment. This includes proper impact assessment studies before the implementation of any development project as well as exploration and exploitation of natural resources in their homelands. Such impact studies would clearly identify the cultural, economic, social, environmental and political implications, and the effects on the people's habitats and their biodiversity rights.
