A regional system is an especially intense network of international links within a defined geographical compass (namely regional cooperation, regional transactions, or regional organization). Regional subsystem is a term used to explain the interdependence between local ties and concerns and the large world which constrains them.
Implementation:
Research at the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations is exploring Russia's real national interests in Central Asia after the collapse of the former Soviet Union; there is also an attempt to define the trends in bilateral Russian -- Central Asia relations and prospects for their development in the near future.
