strategy

Coordinating multidisciplinary efforts of scientists, finance institutions and industry

Implementation:
This strategy features in the framework of Agenda 21 as formulated at UNCED (Rio de Janeiro, 1992), now coordinated by the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development and implemented through national and local authorities.

Agenda 21 recommends well-coordinated multidisciplinary efforts involving cooperation between scientists, financial institutions and industries. At the global level, this might mean collaboration between research institutions in different countries, with funding at the intergovernmental level, possibly supported by similar collaboration at the national level.
