Reducing use of toxic products in farming

Implementation:
The Platform for Biological Agriculture and Nutrition (Platform Biologische Landbouw) of the Netherlands is a federation of NGOs, whose main purpose is lobbying, particularly the ministries of agriculture and environment to influence government policy. Recognizing that EU policy effectively pays conventional farmers to pollute soil and drinking water by subsidizing agricultural chemicals, the council has therefore proposed that the government pay compensation to biological farmers for NOT polluting.
