Protecting assets of nongovernmental organizations engaged on hazardous duties

Context:
Project assets are those which are for direct use by project beneficiaries or are integral to the running and sustainability of the project. These goods remain the property of the NGO until formally handed over to the local communities and their leaders. Decisions regarding the distribution and use of such items should be made, whenever possible, jointly between NGOs and local authorities, following humanitarian principles.
