Unlawful imprisonment

Name(s):
False imprisonment
Nature
Unlawful imprisonment is knowingly imprisoning or restraining a person where no further harm is done or threatened. Confinement may, of course, be accomplished by actual physical restrain. How ever, the application of force is not essential; the confinement may also be accomplished by threats. Confinement is not simply preventing a person from going in one direction if they are free to go in another.
