Dangerous sports are becoming increasingly popular because they are the only socially acceptable way of fulfilling our desire for danger. But by always thinking of the worst possible outcome, by always avoiding danger, we diminish ourselves and our society.
2. We have ceased to celebrate heroes and celebrate victims instead, those who have survived danger rather than those who voluntarily expose themselves to it.
3. Every human endeavour has risk attached.
