Name(s):
Health hazards of travel
Incidence

The contact between distant populations resulting from the growth of air travel facilitates the spread of communicable diseases and raises numerous health problems both in flight and at airports. For example, a large British tour operator suspended holidays to Russia in late 1993 following an outbreak of diphtheria and health ministry warning.

In addition there are the difficulties of adapting to sudden changes of climate, way of life, and food, which especially affect tourists.
