Incidence
Transvestite prostitution is spreading with great rapidity to the point where it is offering serious competition to female prostitution. In one medium-sized European capital, transvestite prostitution, which is practised mainly in outlying woods and forest areas, is engaged in by hundreds of young people, some whom are nationals of the country in question, but most of whom come from abroad with tourist visas. There is reason to believe that they are controlled by a powerful organization which arranges for their passports and visas, as well as for their hormone treatment and possibly surgical operations.
