"Call boys", who earn more, offer their services by placing personal advertisements in the same publications which, covertly or overtly, advertise the wants of clients. Magazines or radio stations controlled by homosexual groups inevitably create an additional potential clientele for this type of prostitution. However, unless they have rich customers or are kept by homosexuals on a long-term basis, male prostitutes' earnings are fairly small since the gay world abounds in possibilities for free homosexual relations. One of several alternatives is to turn to transvestite prostitution.
