International cultural vacuum
Claim
There is no way of engaging the gifts of different cultures and of using the unique power of such diversity; and there is no common understanding of the unique primordial gifts of culture, nor is there a common framework from which such understanding might grow. Cultural power is not seen as a crucial kind of pressure in itself, nor is it perceived independently of, and as giving life to, economic and political power. The result is is control of all interchanges by economic criteria.
