Nature 
Although in violation of the [United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights], inhumane interrogation techniques are presently carried out in many countries, both developed and developing. Coercive techniques are often carried out under official orders, and may include: sleep and food deprivation; drug induced confessions; sexual abuse including rape; disorientation techniques ([eg] white noise); sensory deprivation ([eg] "hooding"); and the infliction of physical pain, often by advanced technological methods which leave no marks as evidence.
