Inhumane experimental battering of animals

Experiments are conducted on animals, especially to test safety features for humans, which involve beating or crushing limbs, and induction of a state of shock by battering an unanaesthetized animal in a revolving drum.
Incidence
A common piece of equipment is the Noble-Collip drum which, like a tumble-drier, tumbles the unanaesthetized animal in a revolving drum in which there are triangular projections such that within 10 minutes the animal has endured 800 falls, usually resulting in broken teeth, concussion, bruising of internal organs, haemorrhaging from mouth and anus, engorgement of bowels, kidneys and lungs.
