Industrial intimidation
Nature
Force or superior power may be used to exploit employees or employers. Management may try to intimidate its employees by threatening dismissal, redundancy, short-time or court action (which may result in fines). Employees may try to intimidate management with the use of wild cat strikes, sympathetic strikes vertically within each production process of the industry, or threat of general strike and other restrictive practices. They may seek to intimidate each other with violent picketing or restrictive practices. Industrial intimidation techniques lead to a loss of production amd may result in general economic crisis and political conflict. They aggravate class conflict and division.
