Failure of motivating socio-dramas

Nature
The socio-dramas which motivated members of society by rehearsing past events, encouraging social cohesion and marking periods of transition no longer function effectively. Events like inaugurations and independence day celebrations have been rendered inconsequential, and new events have not emerged. People need opportunities for frequent and self-conscious participation in such events to rehearse the internal meaning of their lives. This both encourages them toward greater effort in the future and gives meaning to past efforts. Without this recording and meaning, people merely exist in the community, and feel little responsibility for it or their places in it.
