Nature
For exercise fanatics missing one day is irritating, missing more than a few days is a catastrophe. They can have withdrawal symptoms: depression, anxiety, poor appetite, loss of self-confidence and insomnia.

Physical performance that has declined or plateaued despite vigorous activity is the hallmark of overtraining. Doing the same routine over and over without variation can be a major factor behind poor results because the body adapts to the same stimulus. Monotonous workouts and pushing the body too hard also can result in injury, weakened immunity, decreased interest in exercise, depression, irregular menstruation and fatigue and sleep disorders.

Claim
People who have led sedentary lives may start exercising too hard too quickly, leading to pain, injuries, and discouragement, and ultimately to a return to their sedentary life style.
