Corporate planning paralysis

Nature
People do not see themselves as being capable of achieving the type of status defined as desirable by consumer advertising. The sense of alienation and helplessness which results leads to the failure of their communities to organize for corporate planning. The potential of the people in such communities remains undeveloped and their needs remain unarticulated and unmet, while the power of such communities to exercise control over technological systems remains dormant.
