Neuroses and character flaws, such as narcissism, are harmful to corporations. Narcissistic managers are obsessed with profit and give little attention to their employees or to their social responsibility. Despite having characteristics often welcomed in the workplace, such as ambition and addiction to work, such managers are over-controlling and highly competitive, creating internal feuds which waste resources by promoting internal competition.
