Nature 
A mild form of tick typhus caused by the organism [Rickettsia conori], which is probably identical with [Rickettsia rickettsii]. It is transmitted by a dog tick [Rhipicephalus sanguineus].
Incidence 
The disease occurs in the south of France and along the north coast of Africa.
