Vegetable oils and fats environmental hazard

Incidence:

Lung cancer has been linked to inhaling oil fumes during high temperature cooking in Taiwan. 

Rancid sheep fat and rancid butter were both discovered to increase risk of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in three north African countries. A preserved meat dish called quaddid (dried meat stored in oil) was also found to increase risk.
