Damping-off disease of plants

Nature:

Soil organisms destruct young seedlings either before the sprouting seeds break through the soil or after they emerge from the soil. It is due to soil fungi functioning in cold, wet soils or due to warm, humid weather and overcrowdedness of seedlings.
