Limited ownership of productive systems
Nature: Ownership of the means of production for the bulk of small businesses is held by an individual or a family. Nationalized companies in theory are owned by all of the citizens of the country, in fact, all of the responsibility of ownership is in the hands of bureaucrats. Corporations owned by stock holders offer some control by the owners but these owners are for the most part other corporations. Employees do not have enough say in the strategic decisions of the businesses for which they work. The level of motivation and creativity is lower than necessary and the productivity of the business is not as high as it could be.
