Distal muscular dystrophy

Nature:
Distal muscular dystrophy (DD) is a late onset disease, showing first between 40-60 years of age. The symptoms are weakness and wasting of muscles of the hands, forearms and lower legs. The disease progresses slowly but is not life-threatening.
