Cruel methods of destruction of stray dogs

Nature:

The surplus dog populations in many cities, particularly in Asia, is such that effective and economic methods are required to destroy them. Methods most frequently employed, such as the use of strychnine poisoning or mass electrocution, fulfil these criteria but involve considerable suffering to the animals.
