Political unfitness
- Political unsuitability
- Ideological deviation
- Ideological unsoundness
Nature
Deviation from an accepted ideology may result in social conflict or in ideological war. It encourages ideological repression or anarchy or revolution. Under extreme circumstances it may lead to national disintegration and foreign intervention. It may take the form of political or religious schism.
Incidence
Following the dissolution of Yugoslavia, over 1,000 "ideologically unsound" employees were purged from Belgrade radio and television alone. Additional purges were conducted of other state employees.
