Social impediments to marriage

Nature:
Social impediments to marriage include conventional taboos against certain kinds of marriage which are regarded as being contrary to the morality of society. They therefore include legal impediments (including incest, child marriage); ideological impediments (religious, political, nontheistic, and ideological); psychological impediments (incompatibility, immaturity) and class, racial, age, sexual prejudices and discrimination. Social impediments to marriage make for social conflict and inequality, lack of integration in society, and lack of social mobility.
