Late nights are believed to encourage increases in crime, alcoholism, drug addiction and car accidents, as well as reducing productivity at work, or study, and increasing occupational risks.
Incidence:
In Greece in 1994, a new law authorized special security forces to conduct raids on nightclubs to ensure that they close by 2am, as opposed to sunrise as was their practice.
Claim:
People have to understand that they can no longer sleep standing up at work and that they have to go to bed at a reasonable hour.
