Nature:

Dermatomyositis (DM) has its onset any time from childhood to late adulthood. There is weakness of neck and limb muscles, with muscle pain and swelling common. A skin rash typically affecting cheeks, eyelids, neck, chest and limbs. The disease varies in its progression and severity and often responds to drug therapy.
