Claim: Poorly-designed stoves and the use of open fires used in developing countries to cook on are a hugh source of energy wastage. It is estimated that 5 million adequately designed stoves could be built for less than the cost of one average dam in Africa and would save 4 to 5 times the amount of energy the dam would produce.
