Family adaptation of community status quo

Nature

The most readily accessible and frequently adopted model for family structures is the provincially biased status quo of the local community. Methods of personal interaction, symbols of significance, processes of decision-making, visions of the future, articulations of consciousness and all the other social dimensions of being a family are received from the local community. Most often these are the remnants of a society which no longer exists except in the wish dreams of a few.
