Holy indifference

Description:
The soul ceases to desire or to will except in cooperation with the divine leading. As its light increases, its desires for itself are merged in the desire of God's glory and fulfilment of His will. Even one's own salvation and deliverance are not desired so much for one's own happiness as for fulfilment of God's pleasure, resulting in His glory, and because he desires and wills that one should thus desire and will. Far from being inactivity, such indifference is the highest life and activity to everything in God's will.
Context:
This is the second modification of sanctification as described by François Fénelon.<
