Existential consciousness

Description:
Although, as in consciousness one, the world of objects is considered real - and consciousness and its prime object, the ego, as derived from that world - experience is seen as guiding the process, so that control involves choice of environment for desired impact on the ego. Events are controlled by limiting the situation and by acquisition of habits. Examples would be self conditioning or control of behaviour.
Context:
One of three possible modes by which the relationship of consciousness with ego may be regarded, each implying a particular strategy of control or of seeing the way through limitations, what may be termed a form of transcendence.<
