Frustration

Description:
When the personality views a situation both as impossible to change and as counter to the achievement or satisfying of certain needs, then a psychological state of oppression, anxiety and despair is generated. Reacting to this state, an individual may take refuge in a fantasy world, or become aggressive (manifesting as irritability interspersed with bouts of anger); and behaviour becomes generally retrogressive.
