Unveiled being

Description:
This is experienced when one sees one's self in a mirror seemingly for the first time; when one experiences one's self doing something one simply can't believe one is doing. This revealing of a man to himself is described in John Fowles' novel "The Magus".
Context:
In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of articulating the word about life (the life of knowing) the first formal aspect is one's experience of being a solitary individual or of being a self. At the first phenomenological level, this occurs when a person sees through the events of everyday life and his own subjectivity to discern existence clearly.<
