Description:
This is experienced as being somebody and being nobody at the same time; when a person loses the attachment to being someone he felt he needed to be in order to have a meaningful life. It may be compared to a prisoner-of-war who was an important officer before his capture using his status to help fellow prisoners-of-war without regard for his own life.
Context:
In the ICA New Religious Mode in the arena of knowing one's disengagement (the life of poverty) the third formal aspect is being nonchalant about one's relations. At the second phenomenological level, this occurs when a person takes charge of desires which formerly controlled his life.<
