Description:
This state of awareness is represented as a concentration in which the object of perception is annihilated. The formula of twelve-fold dependent origination is said to be fully understood as the Mahayana way. At this stage, one is characterized as embodying five cardinal virtues: "faith-works" or piety; potency; mindfulness; analytical concentration (samadhi); and wisdom (prajna or vidya). These virtues are all essential energies so that the mahayana adept is said to possess extraordinary powers to teach the dharma and reform the world.Context:
