Third scriptural bodhisattva awareness

Description:
This state of awareness is characterized by endurance - [ksanti] - in assisting others on the path of liberation. It is represented by the third stage bodhisattva who will bear anything for the sake of the dharma. He understands the temporal nature of existence - [anitya] - and delights in the beauty that may be found by literary expression of the Buddha's way. Through firm resolve the three unwholesome roots - [akusala] - are cut off. His meditative powers are said to be phenomenal, attaining lordship over the desire-realm and our solar system in particular that is, the form and formless absorptions - [rupaloka] and [arupaloka]. He also has extraordinary knowledge, the first five of the six [abhijna]. His activity is illumination (prabha-kari).
