Natural law

Description:
Whatever source is studied, all philosophic and religious teachings seem to indicate a common agreement of right and wrong, a natural law for individual behaviour which goes beyond social customs and conventions. These have been formulated as: the law of general beneficence (goodwill and generous behaviour to mankind in general); the law of special beneficence (specific goodwill and action to individuals in particular); duties to parents, elders, ancestors; duties to children and posterity; the law of justice (honesty, fidelity, justice before the law); the law of good faith and veracity; the law of mercy; the law of magnanimity.
